It's Good To Talk
by Sarah Leech - Tuesday, 18 November 2008, 05:08 PM

Hi all,

To generate more activity on the Toolkit website we’d like to try out something and subscribe all our members to the forums for a temporary period. This means you will get an email every time someone has posted a message. With the current form you wont need to worry about being bombarded with loads of stuff - we just want to get people talking.

Remember the forums are all about sharing your experiences, asking questions and providing support for others in the sector. We want the forums to focus on the day to day running of a community station and all the things that come with it.

We will go ahead with this little trial from next Monday for a couple of weeks to see how we get on. However if you find it’s not for you, you can always unsubscribe yourself at the top of each forum.

Hope that all sounds OK.

Cheers

Sarah

Community Radio Fund Up For Grabs
by Sarah Leech - Thursday, 6 November 2008, 04:41 PM

Hi all,

For those that don't know....yesterday Ofcom invited applications to apply for the second round of funding in 2008/09 from the Community Radio Fund.

The deadline for applications is 2nd December 2008.

The Community Radio Fund Panel will meet to consider applications on the 28th January 2009.

Grants can only be made to community radio licensees who are broadcasting under a community radio licence (and not an RSL, for example). Eligible licensees must be broadcasting by the time the Panel meets to consider applications for the round applied for.

The latest application form and guidance notes are available at:

http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radio/ifi/rbl/commun_radio/Communityfund/

Good luck to those going for it!

Cheers

Sarah
